Star Fucking Hipsters!<3

Hi!
Yesterday my brother showed me a cool band named Star Fucking Hipsters!
They are realy good.

Star Fucking Hipsters is a ska-punk/Indie band that was started by Leftöver Crack's Stza as a side project. The line-up originally included vocalist Kisston from "Help Me Help Me I Can't Breathe", guitarist Jamie Toulan from Old Skull, and drummer GG from "Another Dying Democracy".[1] The band started playing shows in the New York City area early in August 2005. This line-up lasted for two shows before they disbanded. A few years later, Stza enlisted a whole new group of musicians, again calling themselves Star Fucking Hipsters. The band now consists of Sturgeon, Frank Piegaro, Nico de Gaillo, Yula Beeri, and Ara Babajian. Their debut album was released by Fat Wreck Chords on Tuesday September 30, 2008 and is entitled "Until We're Dead," though it was originally to be titled "Allergic To People".[2]

On December 23, 2008, Star Fucking Hipsters released a music video for "Two Cups of Tea".[3]

The band is currently recording a follow up album for Alternative Tentacles.[4]

The Creepshow<3

The Creepshow is a band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada.[1] The band formed in 2005 when the four members got together with the purpose of starting a hellbilly band. The Creepshow writes the majority of their songs about horror films, with the music fitting the horror punk genre - hence hellbilly.

Former Bands

The band has its roots in the 905 music scene with most members having been in various garage bands before The Creepshow. McNab was the singer/guitarist for local legends Outspan and Jersey. McGinty was the songwriter and trombonist for 905 ska band two-face and played trombone in Outspan as well. Matt "Palmade" Gee splits his time between The Creepshow and punk band Rehab for Quitters for which he also plays drums.

The Creepshow is known for their fast-paced songs filled with lots of backup vocals from McNab and McGinty and sing-alongs that the whole crowd can participate in. The band is also known for their live shows.

Stereo Dynamite, Sell Your Soul

After initially recording two songs for the Zombie Night in Canada Vol. 2, Stereo Dymamite founder Adam (DOOM) Sewell signed the band after hearing the band's demo in 2005. The band released their first album Sell Your Soul on Stereo Dynamite shortly after on May 2, 2006.[2]

On Monday, March 27, 2006, Stereo Dynamite signed an exclusive distribution deal with EMI Music Canada greatly increasing the label and bands distriubtion. [3]

Hellcat's departure

After Hellcat became pregnant, the vocals and guitar duties were taken over by Hellcat's younger sister, Sarah "Sin" on a temporary basis, and then permanently.[4] Hellcat made her final appearance with the band in their video for "The Garden". In the summer of 2009, Hellcat began producing an album with her band Hellcat and the Prowl.

Run For Your Life

On August 22, 2008, the band released their second album, Run For Your Life.[5] The band once again recorded with Sell Your Soul recorder/producer Steve Rizun. The album was released by Stomp Records.

Touring

The band has completed several tours across Canada, as well as two European tours. The band continues to tour with Sarah as the lead vocalist. The band recently finished a tour with The Unseen and Tiger Army the last show taking place May 11 in Ottawa, ON.

On August 23, 2008, the band joined Anti Flag on a Canadian Tour after which they made their way back to Europe in October in support of their new album.

The Creepshow played the Warped Tour in 2008 on the D-Tox/Union stage in Montreal.[6] They are currently scheduled to be performing there again in 2009.

The band will be touring North America and Europe in early 2009. [7]

The Distillers!

The Distillers (1998-2006)

The Distillers were a Punk Rock band formed in Los Angeles 1996. They released their first two albums on Hellcat Records/Epitaph Records before moving to Sire, part of the Warner Music Group. The Distillers were originally formed by Austrlian-born Brody Armstrong (later Dalle), a woman with a distinctively harch singing voice. Ex-wife of Rancid's Tim Armstrong,Brody changed her name to "Dalle" after their divorce in 2003. Although there were significant line-up changes it was Brody who played guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on the band's three albums. Tony Bradley also played guitar and Ryan Sinn played bass.

Members Brody and Tony have since the split formed a new band called Spinnerette.

  • Brody Dalle, singer/guitarist.
  • Tony Bradley, guitarist.
  • Ryan Sinn left the band in 2005. He played in the band Angels & Airwaves with Tom DeLonge of blink-182 for a time after the Distillers.[1]. Ryan has since left Angels & Airwaves and joined Love Equals Death. Ryan then left Love Equals Death and joined The Innocent, who he also left to join Radio Friendly Shifter.
  • Andy Granelli played drums and left the band in March 2005 to pursue his other band, Darker My Love.
  • Rose "Casper" Mazzola played back-up guitar and sometimes sang. She left the band after the making of Sing Sing Death House, and played for the band Gold Cash Gold for a short while after.
  • Cody Lane played drums and left the band in November 2000.
  • Kim Chi played bass and left the band after the making of the self-titled record. She played on and toured for the first Original Sinners' album with Exene Cervenka of the L.A. punk band X and has since left that band. She is currently touring with Rockstar: Supernova runner-up Dilana.
  • Mat Young left the band after the making of the self-titled record.
  • Tim Armstrong It has been long speculated that Tim Armstrong ghost-wrote much of the Distillers early material; however, there is no definitive proof that this actually happened.
